- I have been experiencing heavy hair loss shedding for 19 months. I had very thick hair prior to sudden heavy shedding. Originally diagnosed as telegon effluvium from severe weight loss due to anxiety and an allergic reaction to a medication. The shedding has not stopped and I have lost at least 60% or more of my hair. I see no regrowth at this point and will be seeing the dermatologist again to get a diagnosis.
