I'm 55, healthy, active. Married to a fine, supportive husband. I have low confidence and have allowed AU to contribute to that difficulty. I lost all hair, quite suddenly, at age 46. I had had years of intense stress which I didn't manage skillfully. My father also lost all his hair, after an open heart surgery later in life (genetic?). Am looking forward to talking with others about AU.

Thanks for the note. Alopecia certainly makes us change.
For what it's worth, you might find my book interesting -- it is written for women and talks a lot about attitude, makeup, wigs, and it's really fun to read, too. It's called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" and you can get it on Amazon.com. It's won two national awards! You can find out more about it on my page. Anyway, let me know how you are doing. I would like to help.
