The View upset quite a few members of Alopecia World this week. After announcing that the newly crowned Miss Delaware Kayla Martell has alopecia areata, the show's hosts veered into a discussion about whether black or white women look better bald! After viewing this controversial clip, please share your thoughts. If you would like to send feedback directly to the View, go here.

This is very childish and obviously complete nonsense.

The thing that upset me was the cone head comment and that is only because I had a gym teacher call me a cone head when I was in junior high. Bad memory to bring back.

Making fun of ourselves is the start to accepting our disease. Look at all comedians with a disability and that's what they hone in on...making fun of themselves. If others see we are comfortable with ourselves they will be too. Having said that it takes a while to get to that place ... I wasn't there for a long time. But it was a huge turning point for me when I could finally laugh at myself - took the sting out of it. I wonder what Kayla would think of those comments?

There's nothing funny about being blind. Any comedian, either able bodied or disabled, that thinks otherwise is a bad comedian.

There's nothing funny about ANY disability, that wasn't my point at all, sorry if you took it that way.

Putting this incident aside , Ive always thought that every woman on the cast of this show EXCEPT Elisabeth Hasselbeck are a bunch of bloviating , narrow minded wind bags. And no , I dont approve of Ms Hasselbaeck because she happens to be a beautiful woman.... she actually speaks her mind and presents FACTS to back up what she says.

Whoopi , Joy and that other battle ax are all hipocrates and insert foot in mouth on a regular basis.

This Alopecia topic they speak of was insulting and frankly , it sickens me.
Im not surprised , coming from the mouths of these lightweights.
-Peace

Not offended. At all.

Offended not really but disappointed that there was an opportunity to bring awareness and they just changed it into a vanity thing about different races bald heads.
