I'm honestly not offended by this. I just don't understand the reason why they would argue over such a simple thing. When it all comes down to what the women have in common is that they are both bald. They shouldn't be arguing over who looks better, plain and simple.

I too wasn't offended, I look at it as another opportunity to get people curious about what alopecia is, maybe the view will get enough comments to actually talk about if for real?

Perhaps it would have been nice if they mentioned what alopecia is but I am not at all offended either! Just a bit of rubbish television, i doubt they are particularly enlightened on any topic of value

I am totally not offended either...I can't see what the big deal is...I DO look like a cone head bald lol or at least like an alien...that's just the way it is for some of us especially as we age. At lease they were talking about alopecia and that's a lot more than most people do.

I agree with Jeffrey, don't talk mess either way, cuz you don't know whose chosen to be bald and who hasn't. I'm not really offended . They embarrassed themselves by not doing any back-round research to speak intelligently to the issue

It was not a very positive take on being bald. My 7 year old happened to be near me when this came on The View and I called his attention to it to point out the success of Kayla. When the conversation starting referencing how white women look "weird" bald and how if your head is "shaped funny you look bad", I was NOT HAPPY! That was not something I wanted him hearing as a child with alopecia! I never expected the segment to take such a negative view of being bald. I actually said to myself as I was watching, they are not thinking about how this condition effects people socially and emotionally and there are going to be a lot of people upset by their comments and then sure enough, this e-mail comes through!

I didn't watch the show but after viewing the clip I have to say that I'm not offended. They were doing their job. Congratulations to Kayla!!!! They make jokes about everyone and everything.

I too am a AU sister, I saw the show & was not offended,I grant homework was not done, Q & note cards read from but the positive from this, Alopecia was as Craig put it so well " in the spotlight & a condition introduced to millions".
I suggest e mailing The View, if enough is received perhaps they will do a segment on Alopecia. Even better perhaps we should plan a field trip to NYC, obtain tickets to The View, surprise as they look out to an audience full of OMG bald women & men, we can show them just how beautifully colorful alopecians are.

Hey it got it out there,, so many people watch this program. and They showed a photo of a gorgeous woman bald so its a start, another major show talking about alopcecia.,,another one for our team.
