- I was diagnosed with alopecia areta when i was 13 i always had hair just had spots until i was 27 and now my whole head is bald, i dont have eye brows and very few eye lashes! i still have hair on my hidden areas but my legs a patchy! I have been a cosmetologist for 12 years but am not curently working causse im a stay at home mom now!

Disney World!

So my husband and i are taking my 7 year old daughter to Disney World in april and im not sure what i can wear on my head that wont fall off on rides! Yes i can tape my wig on but its going to be Hot! open for suggestion!! WE are still un sure if we are going to the water parks yet and if we do that what should i wear there??

Thanks for the friend request Amanda. I'll be sure to let you know what I decide to do at the spa. All my co-workers know I'm bald, they just haven't seen me without my wig yet. I'm sure I'll be a little nervous when I first take off my scarf but then I'll get over it. I'll make sure I bring some extra big sunglasses so I don't have to make eye contact with anyone. Lol.
Alopecians in Michigan will celebrate International Alopecia Day (August 6th, 2011) with a late lunch at T.G.I Fridays in Livonia. We will be meeting at 3 PM.
Come for lunch, come for dinner, come for an appetizer or just come for coffee and dessert!
