Repairing a wig? Is that possible?

I have heard of sending a wig in for repair. What does that entail exactly? I have a 3/4 wig, medium or shoulder length. A couple times it has gone through what seems like a shed! I go through a couple-week period where more than a few hairs come out every time I run my fingers through it (which is often during the times I am worried about it), and there always seems to be some on my clothing and extra in the brush. Hey Barbara! Thank you so much! It is a full wig (but it is SO LITE), And its the Noriko Collectin by Aderans. The amazing man I worked with to find a wig I actually liked said it was modeled after victoria Beckham? .. It doesn't look like it so much when i have the side pulled back in that flower but it does look a little similar .. a little.. lol when its all the way down! ;) The color I have is nutmeg, but they had a ton of other colors in this style. Everyone asks me where i get my hair cut and who does the coloring.. Oh the secrets of wearing a wig! ;)

Hi Barbara, Thank You so very much. I agree this site can be a powerful force. The NAAF could probably assist, but first & foremost we should speak with Cheryl, for she founded this site & we should get her permission & blessing before we really go to town. It is because of this site & the wonderful people I have met here that I was able to find strength & my voice to speak out because it was not just for me it was for all of us who have been shafted by the lack of coverage for wigs, oops, cranial prosthesis. I will get off my soap box now, it's late & I'm tired, going to watch the news & shut the lights out.

It is hard for a child especially when it happens at the age where they are learning where their place is in the world and that how we look is a big part of that. He just wants to look 'normal' so that he can fit in and be like everybody else.
