It Has been about 3 months to the date that I last signed in and stated, I saw some small loss and missing eyelashes. Today, I went to the dermatologist for a follow up,. I decided to take a break from the treatments. There has been no regrowth, no eye layers remain on my right eye, and I have a small pony tail out the top of my head. I can let it down and still wear a wide headband/wrap, which is a plus. However, I'm really pretty freaking sick of it. This is the third time I have gone thru… Continue

So to everyone else ths sounds weird. But I know you all will understand. Like mentoned in my last post I am pregnant and lke my past pregnancies my hair has been growing back more and more as time goes on. It has been coming in so nicely that about a month ago I decideed to stop shaving it and let it grow back. Which is very exciting because so far it looks like I might actually have enough to cover my head! The only issue is obviously I can no longer wear my vaccum wig. The problem now is we… Continue

I simply love it. I can't thank this site enough for leading me to her! Anyway i will post some pics of me with it. I still have some issues I think getting it ot fit perfectly sometimes. In order for it to fit right I haveto shave my head every morning. That is the only part that is tough. My latest… Continue

I couldn't wait any longer. The house was quiet, children and husband asleep. . . so i decided to shave my head. I'm glad I took the time to do it alone. It was little more difficult (emotionally) than I thought it would be. My main concern how my daughter will react when she wakes in the morning. I already told her i was going to do it and she was upset, mostly b/c she liked to play hair dresser with what was left me my hair :) Anyway, how liberating. With the last clump of hair inthe middle… Continue

Bigmama, cool name and it's easy to type, too! :) I'm very pleased and proud to read your post above. You can't have too much support when you make a decision like that. Congratulations! You'll find, as time goes on, that every new encounter will get easier and easier until you forget about worrying about it! We should all be that lucky!!

Try not to let it get to you. I did the exact same thing when I told my supervisor at Pan Am. I usually put brown cover cream on my spots so they wouldn't show when I pulled my thinning hair into a ponytail with the regulation blue bow. To show her what was happening, I didn't put the cover cream on. When I took off my hat, she gasped and I started sobbing. After that, she did whatever she could to help me!! It was a nightmare, but getting it over with helped. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Amy!! I had no idea you were Bigmama! I was picturing someone from an Eddie Murphy film!!! How did you come up with that name?? Just let me know when you want to come back and I'll be happy to meet you. Bring your stylist too!! August is a very busy month for me with lots of travel, but the rest of July is still good.

Hi Bigmama,
You're from Maine or NH?? I live in Langdon NH. Where are you?
I lost all my hair about 20 years ago. Was a mess at first, but slowly came to grips with it and now I actually like it! Since I also got involved in Freedom Wigs, I have a 'stable' of them to wear and I love the fun and freedom I have from being able to change my look, not go grey and have hair about 40 years younger than I am!! In some ways, 30% is harder than 0% as you are left in a sort of limbo. Feel free to call or write whenever you want to talk. Maybe we can have lunch one day??
