About Me:
I'm 28 and have had alopecia since I was 15. It used to be really bad and I wore wigs for a couple years, but then it grew back on its own. Now its getting bad again... Bald patches on my head and my lashes are falling out too. Luckily I can still cover it up by wearing my hair up but my self confidence is very affected by it. My boyfriend is very supportive and I will be seeing a dermatologist soon. Hoping I find a treatment that works for me...

Topical steroid experience?

Posted on February 22, 2016 at 4:52pm 0 Comments

So at the moment my Alopecia is very minimal and I was prescribed a topical steroid known as derma-smoothe... Has anyone tried this? If so what were the results? Did you experience any side affects? If so please specify?
Thanks!

Least harmful hair dye/color treatment

Posted on January 6, 2016 at 4:18pm 6 Comments

I really would like to dye my hair to get rid of my grays. The last time i dyed it was about a year ago. Since then my hair worsened and then repaired itself for the most part as far as my alopecia is concerned, but I don't want to hurt the progress with harmful dyes. Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm sorry if I sound vain, but I hate the gray! I know I can't be the only one who thinks this way, right?

I'm grateful for my family and my awesome support system. I'm grateful I have a good man who accepts me for me. I'm grateful to be free of addiction. I'm grateful I have a friend and partner to share this journey with. I'm grateful that against all odds we are still whole and happy together.
