About Me
I'm 32 and I've had alopecia on and off since I was 10 years old.

It got a lot worse in my mid-20s, so I decided to stop wearing uncomfortable wigs (which were actually making me feel more anxious).

Instead, I shaved my head and started writing about my experiences as an alopecian. I now feel a lot more comfortable in my baldness and 90% of the time the reactions I get are great! As for the others, I try not to let them get to me...

I want to share my story for people struggling with self-esteem issues because of hair loss – and to be inspired by their stories, too!

Luckily, alopecia is becoming more of a familiar term nowadays and there are more options out there to turn to for support. But I want to grow the community further – that's why I'm in the process of setting up my personal site, which should be ready soon.
Do you have alopecia? (Choose appropriately)
Alopecia areata
Are you age 18 or older?

Seems like an oxymoron, right?

How could there be advantages to this condition? It makes us alopecians feel ashamed. It makes us feel different. And it makes us live in fear, a lot of the time...especially if we're still at the stage of covering our patches with stick-on pieces or wearing a full wig.

It can even lead to us feeling anxious and depressed – something I have…
