I'm happy that I found this site. There really aren't words to express how great it feels to post a blog and have people understand how I feel. Alopecia is something that confuses doctors and everyone else seems to dismiss it.
Thanks to everyone on here for being so supportive.

Hello and welcome, Kat!
Ha ha about spell check not recognizing "alopecia!"
I know how hard it can be; I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" You can find out more on my page -- and it's available on this site under "Bookshelf." Let me know if there's anything else I can do!
