Have had Alopecia since I was 16 (I'm now almost 48). I found this site by accident and thought it would be great to talk to people who have gone through the same thing as I have. Still hoping that someday they'll find a cure
How long have you had it? You would think since I've had it for over 30 years that I'd be ok with it, but I'm not. I never feel normal. I have to draw on my eyebrows and eyelashes since I don't have them, but even more annoying is that my eyes are always watering because of the lack of eyelashes. And even though I feel like I have a pretty natural looking wig, I always miss having my own hair where you could just throw it back in a pony tail to workout or garden and not worry about it looking natural. OK, I just did a major complaining session. Sorry. I this I went on this website to talk to people going through the same thing I am because as sympathetic as my husband and children are, no one understands fully but another woman who is going through the same thing. PS. I ordered your book!
