what can I say....I can tell you that when Amber started loosing her hair, I felt a sense of loss, it was like I was in mourning and cried a lot. I cried because I was uncertain where this will lead her. I keep thinking that life gets harder as she grows older and having to deal with alopecia was just a extra hurdle I did not want her to face. I worry about bullying and acceptance issues and I have to admitt, it preoccupied most of my day. For month, I couldnt eat properly and would cry everytime I think about her.
But as time progressed, I began to feel the confidence in reading more about the condition. I went to visit wig places and educate myself about wigs. I got in contact with other parents who is going through the same path as me and asked them questions upon questions upon questions. I did all these things and gradually I felt better. Visit a freedom wig specialist and get some knowledge from these people. They were the ones that helped me alot because they showed me that their were options out there for her.
How are you and your daughter doing today?
