Does my 8 year old daughter tell classmates it's a wig?

My daughter who has alopecia for the last two years is starting third grade nd she wants to wear her first wig to school, she has been asking me if she should tell her close friends. I'm not sure what the right answer is. Her teacher will surely know but not sure about anyone else. I'm petrified...nd what it it falls off. During class? Help!!

I also have a daughter who is 10 yrs old with alopecia totalis she was diagnosed at 7 yrs old. I have the same fears that you do about the other children at school making a comment or making her feel self conscious about her condition. All you can do Is keep telling her she is beautiful no matter what that the condition does not define who she is as a person and to just keep her self confidence soaring.
