Going to see a Naturpath today. Hoping to get some help with maybe diet? Been reading a lot about "leaky gut" syndrome and the part it plays in auto immune disorders.

Hi! I am new to Alopecia World and glad to have found it. I have scarring alopecia caused by LPP. I am wondering if there are any members who live in the Edmonton area (Alberta, Canada) that have scarring alopecia? I was diagnosed in September after finding my first bald spot in May. Would love to chat with someone from my neck of the woods.

Hello,
I wanted to find out if your diet improved somehow your LPP. I have LPP my self and I read alot about gluten free/dairy free diets. In what shape is your hair now?. Have you lost alot. I found out about my LPP in Dec. of 2013 and hair had been falling out since spring of that year. Originally I had big hair loss a year earlier but after few months most of my hair grew back with the helpo of rogaine. Right now I take injections, Plaquenil and Clobetasol from time to time when I have burning. This is actually the first month that I am noticing less hair on a comb and I am seeing regrowth but not as much as I would like to. I lost alot of hair on the top, I always had thin hair and now my scalp is visible but still if i comb it to the side and use fibers to cover bold spots I still look ok, as long as no one stands over me and looks at my hair. I rather avoid being social now because I don't feel comfortable with my hair. Looking forward to hearing from you and best of luck to you.
Hello and welcome, Kathy!
How are you today?
