I was recently diagnosed with AA and Diffuse AA. I am losing my eyelashes and eyebrows too. Does this mean that I am going to lose all my hair and everything? I've also noticed that my arm and leg hair aren't really growing either. I have no idea what to do.

Hi
If you have AA you may not lose your hair. Your body will react to it however it decides.
Hang in there!
Bob
I have AA (but not diffuse AA, or at least I don't think so...) - I have the same issues, where I not only have patchy scalp spots, but patchy eyebrows, under arms, arms, leg, and groin hair. My doctors have told me to not think about if I will lose all my hair, that it most likely will not come to that. But I get your fears.
I've had my AA since Jan 2013, and I recommend going to your dermatologist, and asking for scalp and eyebrow injections. The injections have worked for a fair number of my scalp and eyebrow patches (though some remain stubborn). IN regards to the patch body hair, there's not much that can be done until the AA becomes inactive (and since there really isn't one or ANY cause for AA, it's really a person by person situation - for me, stress and poor health seem to have jump started my AA, and since treating my body better, I have had varied bouts of natural regrowth on my body and scalp).
I know the AA is rough, and frankly, just plain miserable and thus it is hard to stay calm about it, but really, that's all you can do. Trying to reduce your stress, getting blood work and tests done at the doctor, seeing a dermatologist, and stabilizing your internal health (for example, I have been taking biotin and amino acid supplements since last year, as well as upping my protein amount, and decreasing my processed food amount to help promote a healthier internal system, but that's just for me - could be different for you).
You'll get through this! It's not fair, but you'll be okay. Be well, and ask me any other questions you may have!
