I was told that sometimes, it is possible that when the adrenal gland of the mother during pregnancy is underactive, that the adrenal gland of the baby takes over. It gives up all of its 'hormones", so that the mother can carry on. If this is the case than the baby could loose his hair.

Has anyone heard of this theory??

I have not heard of it and do not think that it makes sense. Where did you get this from? There is not that type of exchange between the baby and the mom. I use to be a Labor and Delivery nurse.

Hi Carla

I haven't heard of this either, but would be interested in understanding a little more if you have any more info about it.
