All of these compliments!
I can't believe all the compliments I have gotten lately. Nobody seems to notice I have alopecia. At the mall, a clerk said, "I love your hair!" She came up again later and said, "I really love your hair! Every hair is in its place!"
And then, a really pretty woman with long wavy hair said, "I need you to teach me how to look as put together as you. Your hair and make-up are just perfect!"
I'm so surprised that people can't tell I have no eyelashes (I wear kohl eyeliner), no eyebrows (they're tattooed on), and no hair (I wear a wig.) I wish I could see myself as other's see me. When I look in the mirror, I notice that when I put my wighair behind my ear, you can tell I'm missing hair. I see uneven eyebrows. But nobody else does, so I need to start seeing myself as other's see me.
I'm amused that everybody thinks I look so "put together". Does anybody else get comments like this?

The other day a woman came up to me and said "you have the best hair." I always laugh when people give me compliments. I'm not sure why, I just do...... Then I feel guilty not explaining to them why my hair looks so "perfect."

Wow that is great!! The day after I got my Freedom wig I was at a restaurant, and the server complimented how pretty my hair was! It was awesome! I don't think I've gotten a compliment on my hair for years :)

I had lovely hair for forty plus years, then sudden alopecia 6 months ago so that on "bad" hair days I wear a wig. So, I was in a department store buying shoes and a woman complimented me on my hair! She wanted to know where I got it done! I told her it was a wig and she didn't believe me. I laughed and said, "I promise you -- you can buy this hair on the net!" The end result was a nice conversation and an opportunity to give my email address to her for a friend of hers who is soon to undergo chemo.
I felt great!
