Alopecia came once and it has (so far) never returned?

Hi everyone,
the title does not refer to my current situation.
I'm just wondering if anyone or anyone that you know has had experiences like that.
My doc once told me that people do have alopecia just once and it never returned,
but I have never ever read about it or heard it from anyone...
So I'm just thinking, is it possible? Even for AT/AU people?
Well I understand that alopecia has been a rollercoaster like of thing for most people,
but I am just sooo curious to know.

My consultant told me there have been some cases where people have had AU for 25 years and then suddenly all their hair grew back. That is a rare occurrence, but it can happen, there are all sorts of possibilities with this condition, the hair follicles are not dead, just fast asleep!

i think that it's possible :) i got some regrowth on my neck after 14 years !! and without no traitement , AA is crazy !!

Hi

In my family my husband has an aunty that had alopecia in her early twenties (she lost 50% of her hair). It regrew and she has never had another bout of alopecia since. She is now in her 70's.

My daughter has alopecia she has had it for 8 years with continual growth and loss...very annoying stuff.

I've had it come and go. Lost all hair at age 3, got it all back at around 14, and now have lost almost all of it again at age 22. So I'm very hopeful that I'll have growth again :)
