I'm still fairly new to this, am still on my 1st wig (synthetic mono hand tied) that I've liked), but am near critical stage of needing a new one.

Have been researching and am on the fence if I go human hair or stay with synthetic. I really like mono top and hand tied as it's SO hot on the Gold Coast.

I cannot afford a Freedom and am not at the stage where I want to shave off the baby fuzz that I still have...and after I emailed an inquiry to them, I never head back...so where do I go from here?

If I lived back in Canada (my original home) I feel like I'd have more options, but there's just so little here and I'm really uncertain about ordering online

AND once I get the right wig, I have NO idea how to go about finding an appropriate stylist to fix it up. I have been wearing a bob with some sweeping bangs and will likely stay around this length.

Any suggestions/input for sites, brands, styles & types of wigs I am TOTALLY open to and would really appreciate.

Thanks
Shannon

Hi

Can you tell me who you contacted in Aussie with regards to Freedom. I can help with contact there. I also know that Australia has a charity that helps people into Freedom Wigs, you will need to contact the Independent Agents there.

I friended you so I can help.

Catch you soon.

Hi Rose Marie, I am in the same boat as Shannon, I also live on the Gold Coast and it is so hot that I sweat rivers under my full lace wigs. Could you please 'friend' me and give the info on freedom wigs as well.
Thanks, Kaye
Hi, Kaye. I, too, sweat rivers under my wig. My dermatologist prescribed Drysol and it works great. I put it on before bedtime a couple of nights a week and it keeps me much drier AND cooler. I've seen Drysol for sale on the Internet, so I assume there are different strengths. The strength I use requires a prescription.

Per the directions, Drysol needs to be applied to clean, dry skin just before bedtime. It should be on for at least six hours while you sleep. Be sure to put on a hat or scarf after the Drysol dries as it will stain your pillow.

Using Drysol has made me so much more comfortable and my wig stays fresher looking longer.

That's great info Sue.

A HUGE thanks to everyone for the info & for sharing resources. I truly appreciate it. I have an appointment with my Dermatologist in June and will be asking about Drysol for sure :)

Cheers

Hi Kaye

A fellow Gold Coaster eh? That's great to hear :) Have you had any luck with purchasing wigs here on the coast or in Brisbane at all or with getting any styled? I'm in the midst of some research and the quest for my new wig!

Hope this finds you enjoying the amazing weather we're having right now!!

Cheers
Shannon
