hi, Hi im karen, I first noticed 1 little patch of hair loss about 6 months ago and within 2 weeks from that i had lost all of my hair, eyebrows and lashes everything, Devastation wasnt the word, I went to see my doctor who was very unsympathetic, He wouldnt do any form of tests until i had to demand them, I was just told to deal with it, Its took until now to get refered to a consultant and find him to be really unhelpful too, Im normally a strong person but this does get me down so much so i sometimes just dont want to face the world and stay at home, I have 4 children and a partner who are all totally understanding and my partner is unfazed by it all, he is a godsend :), I am just wondering if anyone else had any advise or guidance I have no clue which way to turn and dont know of any help and support out there , Wigs cover the head but miss my eyebrows and lashes so much

thanks for your response, its all happened really quickly and i am finding it hard to adjust, i will be looking into eyebrow tattoos , what does NAAF stand for please?

karen,
I can completely relate. i had a large patch last November and within a couple of days in March 2013 it all fail out. I too had the hardest time with the brows. I did a ton of research and settled on the soft tap micropigmentation semi-permanent eyebrows. I love them. As far as eThen last week I traveled to LA and pickef out my www.follea.com. wig , picked up a water wig while I was there. As far as lashes, I miss them too. I had thick long lashes I learned to draw my liner on and just rock that. I believe Im coming out of this more beautiful inside and out. Having perfect hair each day is
awesome.

Hang in there, it does get easier after you allow yourself to mourn the loss of your hair. You are right it's devastating. Go to youtube and search the naaf.org 2013 keynote speech, it's very inspirational.

im only just starting looking into things i can do, keep telling myself its only hair and there are worse things that can happen, just feels like there isnt much out there ie support, was just told by gp and consultant to "get on with it" im in the UK so there will be a different support network and i am looking into it all more now, will have a look at the keynote speech, thank you x
