Hi! My almost 5-year-old girl has alopecia. She has little bit of hair left and she wears headscarf to go to school but lately she has lost so much that elastic part in the back of her head wouldn't stay still since not much hair. She doesn't feel comfortable wear wig so I'm trying to find something better than headscarf. I got her like head wrap but I'm not sure it's little loose that I'm afraid it might fall off. Does anyone has 4-5 years old girl with alopecia and what do you do with her head( hair?)to cover? Please, anyone has better idea or solution? Thank you for reading!

Hello,Aimee! Thank you for your help. So it stays secure? I'm sorry but even you run,you move a lot,it stays? My daughter has sometimes yoga class at school and sometimes her scarf slides down. Since I can't be there for her to fix it I just want to know how secure. If you could tell me more I'd appreciate it. Thank you! By the way, your profile picture looks so natural and looks great!

Hi

I totally agree with Aimee here...hatswithhair have some really fun alternative for little people.  I recently meet a beautiful wee girl in Ireland who was wearing one of these scarf/hair combination wigs and she looked soooo cute.  It had a soft denim scarf with fine plaits/braids about half way down the length of the hair...then it was just left unbrainded....it looked great.

If the security is a real issue you could use a little double sided wig tape.

Hope this helps.

Hi,Rosy. Thank you for the comment. I went to the website. I think I'll get it for her. About wig tape, what is that? Does it give you itchiness?

Hi Gumi

Most wig shops/salons will stock tape that holds wigs secure.

I help people with Freedom Wigs (which are vacuum wigs....no tape or glue required), so I don't know exactly which tapes would be the best.  But if you contact a local wig store I feel sure they should be able to help.

Good luck with everything.
