I was AU for two years, no hair anywhere. Then I got all my hair back accept for on my head. Its been 7 years since I was AU. I have never been on drugs or tried to be 'treated' for Alopecia. I'm just curious if anyone else has had the same experience. I thought I read somewhere that only 1% of people recover somewhat from AU.

Hi Vicki I was AA from 8 til my 30s then abt 39 the last of my head hair came out. I was relieved by then because I'd been shaving the couple of patches for years and was sick of it, then at 42 all my body hair incl eyebrows and eyelashes went. Two years later I've left a traumatic marriage and my arm and leg hair has come back and one eyebrow has started to come in white and this last month (I'm 45 in Oct) I've been getting head fuzz again. I'm never expecting head hair again but I will be thrilled if my eyelashes come back!! I got tattooed eyebrows and liner so not really noticeable but there's something about eyelashes that is so feminine I'd be happy with just them!
