Hello,

i was browsing Amazon for products that helps in Alopecia. I found these two which have good reviews.

https://www.amazon.com/HAIRMETTO-Palmetto-Pumpkin-ALOPECIA-Regrowth...

and this one

https://www.amazon.com/Alopecia-Amazing-Hair-Growth/dp/B007CLP7MQ/

Both are cheap. Anyone tried anyone of above product? Read reviews and both look good. Ordered 2nd one to try.

Provide reviews if anyone used.

Go to fakespot.com and check out those Amazon reviews for the products you are considering. Sometimes things are not as they seem. I might even use the old adage that if something is too good to be true it pribably isn't.

OTC stuff is for male pattern baldness, not aa. My derm says that if Rogain doesn't work, then prolly no OTC stuff is going to. There are many unscrupulous companies & sellers who prey on peeps with aa who are anxious for a cheap & quick cure for hair loss.

If you read these discussions, you would know that only remission is possible for almost total scalp hair loss from aa or its siblings - whether spontaneous or with the help of something like Xeljanz or squaric acid treatment; very expensive and only from your derm. And, those only work as long as you use them.

If it is a mild case of aa with only a few spots, like when it is just starting, the topical treatment and steroid injections from the derm do get results.

hagster has a good point here. Many products on Amazon or eBay have fake reviews, posted mainly by stupid spambots or things like that. My dad also ordered a product that should help Alopecia, but it was truly terrible. It only made the situation even worse. That's why I don't trust those reviews anymore. Did you buy any of those products? How was your experience? I recommend using gift cards from dontpayfull.com. So, even if you'll get a terrible product, you won't feel that bad as you won't pay for it.

Many of the items on Amazon or eBay can be fake or just posted by some scammers, so be careful. Although, to be honest, I have not come across many low-quality products. For example, my last purchase from Amazon was compact smart electronic scales, and they are very good quality. So before you buy any product, look at reviews about the seller or his rating. This will give you at least some idea of who you want to deal with because if you get scammed, it will be your fault because you were not vigilant about that purchase.
