I can't seem to find any 20s finger-wave style wigs anywhere, except for costume wigs in cheap synthetics that look laughable, and nicer, often human hair wigs for black women only. There don't seem to be any for white women. As I am very VERY white, I couldn't possibly get away with a black woman's lace-front wig, as the lace would be too dark. Any websites or places that sell these? I am dying to do that style in my own short hair, but what with the bald patches and the difficulty of the style, it is not working for me.

I actually prefer synthetic wigs and have worn them for approximately 22 years. I spent lots of money on synthetic's for years and a year or so ago, my mother's beautician gave me a Paula Young catalog (even better is to look online with the various views of the wigs). I've ordered several and have had lots of compliments on them and had people ask where I got my hair done! One time a beautician asked me where I had my hair cut/etc. and put her hand on the back of my head and then she knew it was a wig. If you find a wig you really like, make certain you order another right away as they have a habit of discontinuing the ones I order. I also know that some of the other brands need to be thinned as there is too much hair to look natural. I would rather order new ones more often than have to worry about taking care of an expensive human hair wig. I've also played basketball while wearing my wigs. The only problem I've had is they come off in a car accident -- but I don't make that a habit!! I also found a company in China that has some cute ones that are really cheap so I want to order some of them just to check them out. I also had had my eyebrows tattooed and they are now really faded so I ordered Beauti-Full-Brows which I love and they are so reasonable! They last for three or four days before you have to use a new set. Hopefully you'll not need those!
Thanks for the site! They really have some cute ones -- and I'm WAY beyond the 20's!!
I am not impressed with the human hair wigs for black women only, because the hair is often of cheap quality, and it's not too long before they look like rat's nests sitting atop one's head.
I, too like Paula Young wigs, and wigs from Beauty Trends, and always buy multiples in the styles that I like. So far, though, I haven't seen any 20's styles human hair wigs (for black or white women), that look natural.
