Hi,
I am suffering from AU, I recently contacted one institute that claims the treatment of AU,
Can anyone check the authenticity of the organization, following is the mail I have recived..
Dear Rajat Bansal,

We only have one treatment center on our recommended list that treats alopecia with stem cells. Please see the letter below:

Here is the personalized recommendation we promised you.

The Repair Stem Cell Institute’s recommendation is an important consideration because of the approximately 500 stem cell treatment centers in the world, we have selected, documented, and now recommend only 12 centers. The Institute’s exclusive selection process and Standards are based on years of research and experience, and thousands of individuals look to the Institute’s advice to help in their stem cell treatment decisions.
Your personalized recommendation is based on many factors. These include your patient profile, the treating center’s results and experience with your specific condition, the Institute’s proprietary research, convenience of travel from your location to the treatment center, and the cost/value of treatment.

We’re here to help you through the entire process, to answer your questions, and to ensure you get Priority Service with the treating center. There is no fee or obligation for our service, so you have nothing to lose by requesting our assistance.

The Institute’s recommended world-leading

While you have taken an important first step, for those ready to investigate treatment now, there is an important Questionnaire below. This is the next step that we highly recommend for those seeking treatment.

Questionnaire - ONLY for those ready to investigate treatment in the next five months. (There is no cost or obligation for our service).

Do NOT attach medical records to your response. The treatment center will advise you of the medical information they need to further evaluate your candidacy for treatment, and answer any questions you may have regarding their center and treatment results for your condition.
Remember, we’re here to help you through the entire process, and to be sure you receive Priority Service from the treating center.

Now, click on REPLY, answer all of the below questions, and hit SEND.

______YES, I’m ready to investigate stem cell treatment further to evaluate how stem cells can improve my life. Here’s my completed questionnaire.

1. What can and can’t the patient do (how does the condition affect daily activity)?

2. I acknowledge that I/we can afford the treatment and other necessary costs: YES/NO? _______

3. Please send me tips on raising funds (only for those patients who do not have the funds for treatment). YES/NO? ________

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Beth, RSCI Coordinator

Anyone from Latin America.. pls help

Hi raj,
I'm not from Latin America, but I have read a lot about the research in stem cells, and regulatory t-cells. I've yet to hear about stem cell treatment for alopecia, it's mostly on diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and other auto immune disorders. I feel like alopecia is at the bottom of their list. I did see on the news one day about stem cells being inected/placed into damaged scalp area to regrow the skin for a condition and in turn the hair also grew back but white. If you google about it the US has several links, I really don't know how affective it is, and how far you're willing to travel.
As far as I know stem cell treatment isn't available for alopecia. There have been no studies to prove it is a cure so I am very skeptical about this company.

This may be the right track for future treatment. I am concerned about the fact that it does not have more attention around the world if it is truly effective for alopecia. It sounds like it has been around for a while.

Hi, Anyone has any update on stemcell cure??

Today i contacted www.stemrx.in they told me that the treatment is feasible

But i am not sure if this is also not a gunnypig experiment

Thanks

Rajat

Hi

I haven't really heard of stem cells treating alopecia, but in saying that there has been advances in that area recently with MS.

Some of the questions I would ask is why is the treatment centre in South America??  Why not in England or the USA.

I don't have enough information to say if this is real or unreal, but be very thoughtful around this. Research it as much as possible before you pay any money.  Maybe you could talk to your specialist or your doctor as they should be well versed in upcoming treatment options.

Rosy

One of my friends had stem cell treatment for MS with great success.  She had to go to Russia to have it and it cost her a lot of money (something like $80K), and she was in the hospital there for a month.  They are in clinical trials for MS stem cell treatment in the US I believe, but they take a very small number of people, and she didn't get in.  She was to the point of becoming completely disabled by her MS in the near future so she was willing to go to the time and expense to try it.  She had the treatment almost 2 years ago and just ran her first 5K!

I think this research is promising and hope that it may have good results for all autoimmune diseases, including alopecia, in the future.  I don't know that I'd do it now though.  There are obviously significant risks involved since they are basically destroying your immune system and rebooting it, which is why my friend had to be in isolation in the hospital for weeks during her treatment.
