I have just been diagnosed with FFA and have lost hair at the front. For now my hairstyle hides the loss, but if I lose more hair, I'll need to get some bangs (wig) to cover.  I would like to get bangs attached to a headband, but I don't see the right color in that style.  Most come with clips, but I worry that the clips will pull out even more hair.

Does anyone have experience with wearing bangs wigs?

Also, getting the correct color is important as they will need to blend in with my hair. How do you match your color to a picture online?  I wish there was somewhere local to try them on, but I think I'm stuch with online shopping.

I have a daughter with AU and like to help those that need unique pieces to fit into what hair they have left. Go to a website called Haircessories in Studio City Ca and they have pieces that may work for you. It is called a Savage type topper. If you do not want clips there is double sided tape that might work for you. Regarding color you will never be able to hit it dead on, but now days people use highlights and different colors of hair to blend, so do not rule that out. If you want further help go ahead and friend me and I would be glad to answer any and all questions about what to do with this type of hair loss. Also you might want to consider human hair because it can be dyed to match your color more closely. All my best.ALOMOM

Thanks for the encouragement!

Clips can be removed. Then you csn find a headband of choice and attach the bangs with double stick tape or sewing.

The best way to match color is to go to a wig shop and have it done, or order a color swatch ring from the brand you are interested in.
