My son has had alopecia areata since he was 10. He is going to be 13. I am not sure that he would be a candidate for this medicine, but everyone on this website is always praying for a cure. This is the first

positive bit of information that I have seen in almost three years. Please watch the video and see if this can help you. It is a medicine and might not be right for everyone. It is a rheumatoid arthritis medication and since alopecia is an auto immune disease, it helped this young boy grow back his hair.

For the record, I adore and love my son with or with out hair. It does not define who he is. At almost 13 he is currently fine being bald and doesn't want to continue with anymore pills, creams, needles etc for the time being. Since he is happy and well adjusted and very confident, we do not push the issue. When he is older, he might change his mind. I hope if this link helps even ONE  person on here who is
suffering, I will be extremely happy.

Best of luck to all.

Interesting. I too would be concerned about the drug risk. But in a cream form it would not be as systemic.
