I always had very thin head hair but a LOT of white body hair. My body hair is very thin now too but the head hair went first and the body hair seemed to be last to go. Now I seem to be in a partial regrowth on my head but the body hair is still really thin. Strange. How about everyone else?

Hi
I have no body hair, never have - i first got alopecia totalis when I was 12, it seems it was puberty that set it off...... I always had eyebrows and eyelases untill I gave birth to my daughter at 30 years of age, after that I lost them too, I now wear false eye lashes and have tattooed eyebrows.
My daught is developing alopecia totalis, she is almost all bald on top now, with hair still falling out, however at this stage she still has a lot of arm and leg hair.

From the things i have read on here, it seems no alopecia person is the same.....its interesting
Bridge :)

The coordinator of the Unit and Trichology Hair Transplant Dermatology Group Pedro Jaen and the Ramon y Cajal Hospital Vañó Sergio explains that there are over 100 types of alopecia that are derived from nutritional, hormonal, immunological problems of internal diseases, cancers and even stress itself.
