Hi Everyone!

I haven't been online in a while, have had a lot going on but I am finally experiencing some regrowth! I'm tossing around the idea of getting breast implants and wonder if this might trigger an unwanted immune response. Anyone have implants? If so, did you get them before or after you developed Alopecia? Want to make an informed decision based not only on what I am told by a surgeon!

Thanks in advance!

well, that's one way to take people's attention off your alopecia!!
Dominique's right.... you'll deffo get a response of one sort or another. Ahem ;)
As to what effect it might have on your immune system - well, I've simply not been keeping abreast of developments in that area :)
Well since no one else has put their two cents in I will give you mine.

I developed alopecia after having gastric bypass. I lost my hair along with 150 lbs.

I have AA and it seriously seems to come and go whenever it pleases. Sometimes the dermatologist visits and creams work, sometimes they don't.

Last summer I had an upper arm lift, breast lift and augmentation. I developed two spots the size of my palm.

This summer I've had an entire lower body lift where another 25lbs of skin was lopped off and so far, I've lost a dime size patch of hair and seem to be holding steady.

I am on the same regimen of vitamin supplements I've been on for years, and can't explain any of this and neither can my plastic surgeon or dermatologist.... most of them figured the immune response would be more severe with the lower body lift than with the arm/breasts.

Alopecia is one of those things you can't predict...

If you want your new tata's. Go get them
Thanks for the response Heathen!
