Hello everyone,

I have AT going on AU. Its all started a year ago. My derm put me on the prednisone/methotrexate treatment. Everything grew back, but fall out agin after the treatment.

2 weeks ago my eyebrows started to fall out also. My derm talked to me back in the fall about cortisone injection for eyebrow. Doesn anybody know if I can have cortisone injection pregnant? Is it really worth it?

You need to talk to your ob about it. I use to be a labor and delivery nurse and don't know the answer.

I am surgeon and I don't know the answer either. The injections are just topical steroids to help fight the inflammatory cells. However, it is possible that some of the injected steroid can be absorbed into your system. Anything that you have in your system can be passed on to your baby. Since your body already makes steroids, it probably is not harmful to the baby. However, I don't know much you'd absorb and you can never predict the effects. You really have to ask yourself if it is worthwhile. For me, none of my treatments were helping so it was an easy decision to stop. I hope this helps.

After taking prednisone like a maniac and being put on methotrexate for months, we won't take any chances for our baby. My body went through so much in the past months.

Thanks for your advice.
