Dermovate scalp application for aa

hey everyone just been diagnosed with aa..feel terrible :-( derms prescribed me sum ov dermvte sclp app and told me 2 use it every night for 4 weeks and then futher on for another 4 weeks but every other night..has any one else used it? if so any results?

It is a topical steroid, this is the brand name. It works for some so it is worth a try for you.

sorry 2 hear bout ur story so far..ive only jus starting using the stuff 2 weeks so cant realy say much on it yet :D However, my hair loss is quite differnt to the usual patchy AA its like general thinning all over my scalp, particulrly the front bit (crown) ive never tried anything before ive only been seen by the derm 3months b4 dat my g.p kept telling 'Ur anemic tke sum mre iron tablets' LOL n tel me 2 cum bk 6mths later hehe..until 3 yrz later wen i went 4 a 2nd opinion 4rm a diff g.p but neways yh trying dis stuff for anoda 6 wks cnt rely tel mch diff at da mo..realy hope it grows bak :(

Hi i tried this cream it Did seem to help, but I have find minoxidil ointment from a very good tricologist and acupuncture have had the best effect on my aa, going from fully bald in jan 2010 to full head of hair dec 2011

wow! dat is wikd! :D sounds realy good wel ive been told 2 try dIs stuff 4 like 8 weeks den iv gta go see da derm agen..i mite ask her if i cud try minoxiil cuz i actualuy thort minoxidil is for androgentic alopecia only ?? n wer did u get ur acupunture dun 4rm!?? if after 8 wks dis dont wrk cud i get it dun..?? like do u have 2 be referd a tricolist by ur g.p or cud u find 1 privately?? dont realy knw hw it all works lol

you have to go to a tricologist privately but its well worth it. even just for an initial consultation. as can be expensive.
But not sure but think you can get acupuncture by referral, THe Derm cream might work well for you and save you the expense though, Good luck x
