It's been about 7 months since I had a dream that my hair came back - I used to have these often after losing my hair a year and a half ago, and thought they were over. This time it was more realistic. Instead of suddenly having long, full hair as I did in the first dreams, I just had dark stubble all over my head. But, it was clearly growing back, and I was so happy I cried. Then I woke up.

Do these ever stop? I really hate them.

Dear Mary,

i used to have these kind of dreams but it stopped since i lost hope in hair regrowth. i agree with u on hating this kind of reminder dreams. i wake up feeling so sad, sometimes crying. but finally i forgot and get busy in anything.
Thanks, Wael. I was surprised to have this dream now because I just had a great time last Saturday performing music bald - no problem (see pics on my page, if you haven't.) Oh well, it just takes time.
I don't think I appear in my dreams very often. But I do remember having hair in a dream awhile back but it wasnt a style I had ever had before.

I guess I hate them because they make me sad. I feel SO happy in the dreams that my hair is back, then I wake up and experience the sense of loss all over again. I suppose it's just the subconscious working through the loss. I doubt it's any sign that my hair is growing back - just that I still wish it would!

I sometimes have dreams where my baldness is part of it - I'm telling someone about it. Most often, I just see myself in the dream and I happen to be bald, as usual.

What happens when you realize in a dream that you're in a group of people and you forgot your wig? Do you think it might be a sign that you're thinking about going out in public bald? ( ;-)
wink wink nudge nudge
That's how it starts...pretty soon you might not be able to stand having anything on your head. ( ;-) Mary
Hey,

It's no wonder that anyone with alopecia would have dreams about hair- I know for me I tend to dream about things that I worry about. But none the less I thought I'd look up the meaning in my big ole' dream book and I thought it was interesting so I thought I share what it reads " Dreaming about hair: power flowing from the crown chakra or seeking higher spiritual center/ consciousness. To dream about body hair- searching for protection."
Hey Heather,
What does your book say about not seeing yourself in your dreams? It's like I am in the dream but I dont see myself unless I look in the mirror.

Jeffrey
Hey Jeffrey,

I don't really see a translation about that specific dream type.... BUT did try to find a similar scenario. Not sure this fits... but "invisible - a need to withdrawal from the realities of life." I did also see an entry regarding seeing "mirrors: the reflection often reveals how you want to viewed by others---or searching for yourself/feelings of being lost"
It seems as like my dreams are a reflection of reality. I dont see myself but I see and interact with others just like I would do as if awake.....Who knows...interesting
This is making me wonder why I dont dream about my hair or lack thereof. I probably spend more time on this site than anyone....Maybe I'm all worn out from gabbing and think about other stuff while I am asleep.... Oh Boy

Jeffrey
Too funny! Lol.
