Sorry "Spirulina" is what i ment to say
Mine went AA ages 10-12, then again 16-20. The other times, I had full hair. After having kids and stress in my late 30s, it went AT, AU, then back to AT. At now about 10-11 years. NO ONE CAN TELL!!!! (I am almost 58 now.)

Some say spirulina works. Mix it with juice.

Get some great hats, just in case...start wearing them now and so it looks like just part of your signature style. then later, maybe no one will know it is to cover alopecia! You might even do the same with a cool wig for some days, then use it later if you "have to." Have fun at school!

Thanks so much :) So you have all of your hair now? ...thats nice to know , I am now taking some different things to help take my stress level down, And yes im getting a wig in about a week or so , i am verry excited :D
Thank you so much :) Good advice :D
Thanks :)
just found another 4 spots on the top of my head :(
((((Hugs))))) Have you considered wearing caps or bandannas for the time being? I wear bandannas all of the time now. I find them much more comfortable than wigs. Caps are nice, too! Target and Wal-mart usually have a nice selection of caps/hats.

Don't know if bandannas are allowed in school these days though?
no were not alowd to where hats at all in school :( ...But I still have at least half my hair left so it hides pretty good :) Cant wait to get a wig :)
Thanks :D
Hey Chantal!

Hmmm - don't know that "spirulina" will do much for your hair - but it does have some other benefits so If you try it I'd like to hear what you think. Who knows - what works for one person may not work for another- I'm all for experimenting ( safely of course) ! For me most mornings -(assuming I don't over sleep)-- I will make a fruit smoothie for breakfast and add a powder that has spirulina in it and haven't notice any hair changes.

I have asked every doctor I have ever seen what are the odds or statistics of AA turning into AT or AU ... and NO ONE has had a answer for me.... only say it is unpredictable. But If if helps - I have had AA for about 20 years and although there are times when it "flares" more than others it has stayed AA. Currently I have about 12 spots... I don't know what will happen in the future but try to take it day by day and for me the steroid topical creams/foam work well so I stick with them.

Hang in there!!
Thanks :)
