I've been diagnosed with iritis, with causes my eyes to be red. (Fortunately, you can really only tell if I bring it to your attention.) I had just finished treating one eye, and then it spread to the other, which I am now treating with Prednisone eye drops. I hate wearing a wig and glasses. It's too many things on my head!

Anyway, my eye doctor thinks the iritis might be related to the alopecia. She said she has a number of patients with autoimmune issues who have eye issues as well. Does anybody else have this?

I have had iritis once before, right before I developed alopecia areata. It healed very quickly. This case is healing but it it taking longer.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for you all!

Yeah, my eyes are really red sometimes. I went to the eye doctor and she seemed to think they were just dry. Maybe mine is from my synthetic wig, bangs get in my eyes, my lashes used to stop that I guess.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you down south.
Hi Aimee,

I've heard that people with auto-immune condition is predisposed to eye issues as well, and the eyes issues would be an autoimmune condition as well. While, you're being treated based on the symptoms, I suggest you to get a defnitive diagnosis on what is causing the iritis.

I dont have any eye issues except when the dust and sweat gets into my eyes.

Happy Thanksgiving.
