I have patches of regrowth (yay!) all over my scalp in little pockets. Not sure what, if anything, is helping with the regrowth but what I've done so far are : continued cortisone injections since February, one month of prednisone in June, the start of prednisolone pulse therapy mid August, and the use of flakey/itchy scalp products from my hair loss specialist.

However, I still have a ridiculous amount of loss (and it has invaded my "good" left side now too). I lose amounts that are frankly just overwhelming for me, so I have no idea what is going on in my body.

My hair loss specialist says that the alopecia hasn't "run its course yet." My dermatologist is flummoxed, but keeps trying various treatments for me.

I HAVE undergone some severe circumstances since January (coinciding with my first patch). My brother, who has an very serious heart condition, fainted in January, was hospitalized in February for severe food poisoning, almost fainted again in March and April, got a bad case of pnemonia in July, and just a few weeks ago, was told he has the beginnings of congestive heart failure. I have been stressing about these things, even though I have been trying to keep calm via therapy, yoga, and other things I did before to relieve stress but maybe it's just not enough?

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have opinions on this, because I am confused. I read a lot of the posts, and they typically are of people with regrowth, or people with loss, but not of regrowth with continued severe loss. And in the case that this IS stress related more so than anything else, do any of you have suggestions on what has helped you?
