So here I sit looking at false eyelashes on line as well as all the products to go along with them, but I'm not sure what exactly I need - it's a little confusing. I've lost almost all my upper eyelashes on one eye, and the other side seems like the lower eyelashes are falling out. I've never worn false lashes before and I have no idea what I need besides the lashes and some sort of adhesive; do I need an applicator, anything special to remove them, and cleaner? Any tips and tricks to applying, wearing, caring for.... false lashes?

Personally I like the cheap ones they sell at target (ardell)! I have tried just about every brand, and to me those look as good as anything.

I actually wear two per eye at a time though to create the illusion of full, natural, dimensional lashes. I just set two slightly different length'd lashes on top of each other and glue them together to make one "super lash" and glue them on like regular. I use Duo brand glue. In my experience it works the best.

I apply eyeliner first (I use the clinique liner that comes in a little pot- you apply it with a brush- this type of liner has a bit of dimension so the lash looks better), then I just press them on.

It takes a little practice to be able to put them on right, but stick with it! It gets much easier after you struggle through the first few times.
Practice with a high magnification mirror ( yes, the pores are scary at first). Sit down at a table so you can rest your elbow for support. Fiddle around with the angle of the mirror..get one that tilts and has an internal light.

these little things make a big difference in how well you can see what you're doing as you practice. The learning curve is better when you have a good set up.

To me it's like snowboarding....a little awkward at the start and then it just clicks.
