Ever since I went through menopause at 45, I started progressively losing my temple hair first and slowly losing the frontal hair now. I used Rogaine with no results. I cannot take any medications, due to auto immune liver disease. I would like to know if any of you has had hot flushes/sweating symptoms? I know one lady who also has FFA and she’s told me that she sweats a lot and she believes that the sweating/hot flushes contributed to her frontal and temples hair liss. I also sweat a lot and the most affected area is the frontal hairline... It is an observation and I’d like to know if others suffer from this?
thank you for reading my post!

Interesting. I do not have FFA - I am AU - but the AU developed suddenly and at the same time as my menopause started (age 48). I do get very hot and sweaty flashes on my head since this all began, and I often wonder if the AU is related to the menopause.
I have AU. Mine is purely do to stressful situations. The first time was when I was 35 after a move and husband lost job in 6 mo. Second time was exactly 6 mo after my mother died.
Right now I'm dealing with Bullous Pemphigoid. Again brought on by move and stress. It is a terrible autoimmune disorder of the skin.
I have been on prednisone for several weeks. I have grown some eyelashes, brows and peach fuzz on my head. Doc believes this is due to the steroids.
I went threw menopause at 48, several years after I was struck with AU.
