First time at church service bald!

I wore a scarf on the 45 min train ride, and walked a block from the train took a deep breath in and looked behind me while I slipped off my scarf. Two blocks from the church I walked freely bald. I needed to breath first. I open the door found a seat and sat down! Few stared ( which iS not polite). My friends said nothing neither did anyone come to me to make any comments :) I am happy all my fears were gone! Oddly most of the kids and younger children wanted to sit with me during service, I found comfort in it! No one said anything to me I did not say anything to them. I felt a little like a outcast but the FREEDOM out weighed it! HERE I COME BEACH WATERSs! Looking to go every sunday bald :) and to the parks and beaches!!!!

you go girl. Well done. It is a big step but you will soon see at first it is scary but after the FIRST time you will never want to cover up again. I'm so proud of you

Wow! Brave! I used to go out bald in early days of my AU but I"ve lost my confidence. I would be most worried about the dreaded stares and gasps in church. I'm impressed with the manners of your congregation! Good for them and you!!!!

Oh I weaned it on them first I just came out and told as many people who I could... By saying hey can I show you a picturE of the real me :) they all were like wow never would have known! Then the sundays After I stop wearing wigs just scarf! Then my paStor who was placing oil in the head .. Knowing said just pull ur scarf back a little I just took it off and Put it back on after. I nEver sat during a sermon bald! It was good! But everyday its a fight Me vs Aalopecia .... Its up to me who wins but sometimes I give in! Just keep fighting for your place of freedom! I no can go on church trips bald, wigged, oR scarf! I set the atmosphere for myself.
