Hello all! I was wondering if anyone knows if they follea gripper wig would work on somone who still has very thin hair all over. I currently have my wigs sewn in but am un happy with not being able to remove to wash my hair properly. I my hair is way too thin for clips and I don't wish to shave my head so the gripper seemed like a sound soluction, minus the price of course. Any advice or experiences?

Hello SarahFay,

It may work for you but to be sure you should visit their site and find a rep in your area they can come to your home or office but since these wigs are very expensive its best to see it and try them on.

Good luck

I have been wearing the gripper cool for about 3-4 years now, I had the ophiasis pattern which is hair being lost from the bottom up, I had begun to lose hair on the top portions when I decided to get my first gripper. I did shave my head when I got it, but even tho I have since lost all my bio hair I still get these weird white hairs all over my head, not so much on the bottom of my head area, so not much where the silicone is, so it sticks to my head and feels secure, I'm not constantly shaving my head, so there are times when I do have quite a bit of hair. I think you may be able to get away with it as long as you don't have a lot on the parameters of your head, if you have much hair here it will not hold tight and that would defeat the purpose. I bought mine from a salon so was able to try on. Good luck, hope you find that it will work for you too.

Hi Christine,

I do have a bit of hair on my head, enough that my wig is sewn onto it so I am guessing the gripper won't work. I am looking for a solution to allow my hair to grow back but I still would like to wear a wig that is secure ebough to swim in ( I live in South Floirda so beaches are kinda a must ) and work out in. I have tried clips before but they pulled out my hair and realluy hurt me. Right now the sew in is very secure but I am unable to wash my scalp properly so I have build up all over my scalp which I beleive is stopping my real hair from growing back.

Hi.  I am researching the pros and cons of the gripper and freedom wigs.  Can you share any thoughts on the two?

I will let you know.  I am totally bald on top of my head due to shaving and bonding a topper with glue for about 3 years now.  I do have baby fine hair on the sides and back.  I'm thinking about shaving it all off cause I look pretty goofy right now unless I'm wearing one of my toppers.  I have a meeting with a Follea rep on Friday and I will post about it.

The gripper is designed for someone who has no hair. However, Follea has the aero 2 wig that is for someone who has hair. Bravadas wigs & extension at 5223 lovers lane has both styles that you could try on before you purchase. Call and they would be happy to make you an appointment 214-242-9407.

I use the wigrip by Milano. it's around 20 dollars, and works well with bald, thinning, or fuller hair. you can wear it with any wig you like

Good Luck,

Vanessa

I have heard of the wigrip before but I wear mywig 24/7 and I am guessing that the wigrip doesn't hold up if I were to go for a swim but if it does that would be awesome!
