Hi Guys

I am in the process of ordering my Freedom piece. At first they did not have the colour in the length I wanted and I've decided to go shorter. I want to have my hair in a classic bob cut (I attached a pic of actress Julia Styles in the style I want). My question is this: When I had a lace wig and it was cut in a bob, there was always a few pieces underneath that seemed to mat and then stick out at the back, making it look very wiggy as it would not lie flat. Has anyone had their Freedom piece cut in a bob? If so, what tips can you give me to achieve the cut without it poking up or lifting away from the cap. Also, any tips please on how to cut the hair so that I don't wear bangs and the cap does not show. I've ordered 10in straight, light implant as I think movement might make it difficult to achieve that smooth look without endless blowdrying and straightening. I don't want to use a hairdryer or straightener on my hair as I want to keep it as healthy as possible. Any comments on that.
Thanks for everyone's input and patience over the past few months as I've slowly transitioned to ordering my first Freedom. Your advice has been invaluable.

Hi

I can help you a little here as I'm sure your Independent Agent will as well. I am going to attach a photo with a picture of a Freedom Client wearing her hair in a concave bob. I hope it helps to understand that Freedom Wigs can be cut pretty much like your own growing hair.

I know this picture is a little shorter than you are wanting but as it is a Freedom wearer it's helpful to see what can be achieved.

Looking at what you have ordered I think you and your IA have done a good job of working out what will be the best hair choices to achieve something similar to the hairstyle you have shown... great stuff!

Styling will be fairly minimal, but do remember the picture you are looking at (Julia Styles) has been styled more than likely blowdried, straightened etc. to achieve the look she has, styling may need to be done. The hair on a Freedom wig behaves like peoples growing hair, so you have to think what normal people look like and what they have to do to achieve some hairstyles. I believe styling could be kept to a minimum. By combing your hair (once it's cut) into the bob style (very smooth), then leaving it to dry with out touching it. Once dry you should have achieved a very smooth look, that may need just a little bit of styling to get the very sleek look you are after.

Hope this all helps.

I love that style as well. Classic and contemporary.

Thanks Rose Marie, Amee and Cindy, it's been such a wonderful experience getting to talk to everyone on this site who have been so patient and kind.

There is NO comparison to a FREEDOM piece and a synthetic. You will not have matting or hair sticking out like with your synthetic piece. I've worn FREEDOM pieces for many years. They remain the best quality hair out there. Getting the right cut and learning how to style it are most important to LOVE your hair. I have mine cut very very conservatively the first time... expecting to go back. Cuz, as you know, if they cut one hair too short, it's not going to grow. Every piece I've owned has taken at least two trip to the stylist. Knowing that keeps your expectations in line with reality. I am sure you will love it!

Thanks Rose. I am so pleased to hear that there won't be sticky up bits. I am so super excited about this.

Of course you will need a quality sulfate-free shampoo, a round comb for styling and a good hair dryer. These devices will help you to use a beautiful wig as long as possible.
