Hello Friends,
I don't know if i'm the only one who feel rejected and this loneliness... i used to have one best friends, we know each other from last 7 years. it all started 1 year ago, she started ignoring me, i never told her about my alopecia but i got permanent eyebrow alopecia i told her about this and she's totally fine. but as i started losing my hair she started ignoring me. i was so alone that time a need some emotional support with her but she left me alone. i keep trying to talk with her and contact her but she never replied :'( .
i never expected this with a best friend it really make me feel bad and this make me feel that hair is really important for few person. if they can leave us only coz of hair then they'r not real. i decided to break my friendship with her now. will it be a nice step?? or i need to talk with her again??

Hi
I'm so sorry that your friend isn't being as supportive as you would like at the moment.
I think your decision sounds to be the right one for you at the moment. In any friendship it needs to be a cooperative affair...not just one sided (which your post indicates is happening). Do your best to move on and focus on you and what you need with regards to your alopecia. Don't let someone's thoughtlessness hold you back from doing and being all you can be.
Good luck with everything.

Hi Monika!
I went through the same type of situation. A friend I had been very close with for about 10 years began to treat me differently once I developed AA, which transitioned to AU. It was very difficult, but I found that it was okay to take a break from it. I now understand that this was something too difficult for her to be there for me. Which helped me realize that maybe the friendship wasn't really that great to begin with. I think it's a good decision to take a break. And who knows! Maybe you will reconnect in the future. I say do what you need to do to take care of yourself :)
Cheers!
