My son was diagnosed with alopecia 2-1/2 years ago. He lost all hair quickly and has alopecia universalis. Our local community is putting on a charity fun run which benefits the Children's Alopecia Project.
If you are in Texas (DFW area), come join us at the Compete Every Day – Fighting Autoimmunity 5k on September 5, 2015.

All proceeds from the event will go to the following two charities:
1) The CONQUER Project, an effort at UT Southwestern that is seeking to solve critical issues for Autoimmune patients by conducting research and coordinating clinical efforts.
2) Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP), the only 501(c)3 non-profit devoted specifically to helping children living with the hair-loss disease alopecia areata. CAP raises awareness about alopecia, provides support for children and their families and builds self-esteem in children living with alopecia.
