Hey guys, the joys of alopecia struck again! Sigh! I'm getting married in 2 months and sure enough I have a bald patch the size of my Palm. I do have some short white hairs growing in also. But I'm afraid I'll still have the patch come wedding time.... any suggestions on how to cover it up or anything at all?

Thanks peeps!

Sincerely a guy desperate for help!

If it is stable (Is Alopecia ever stable??) you could order a stock lace closure or inexpensive wig, make a pattern the size of your spot, then tape it in. I had a client do this to control her pulling and it blended and worked very well for her. I had my doubts, but she made it work and in fact it helped her stop pulling.

Male? Classy Sinatra hat of black cowboy hat, of traditional black top hat.

I'd go to a good hairdresser who can put in something temporary like a weave in your natural color. Putting makeup in your hair color on your scalp under fake hair helps too so it's less noticeable.  Also, I know that telling you not to stress probably sounds stupid since you are getting ready for your wedding, but stress really doesn't help. If there is anything you find relaxing or energizing--do it! The better you feel emotionally, the more likely your condition will stabilize, or even create more new growth. I also agree with Tallgirl, about a cool hat.

Best of luck, and have a great wedding!

no weave...you will lose more hair. use tape or glue, just be careful in removing.

Female? Cloche hat, Juliet cap, chapel veil, hat, floral wreathe, 1920s vintage veil, fascinator, wig, ribbons. Look online.

Thanks everyone for the input, I went to see my doctor a few days ago about the me having lots of regrowth but no pigment so he prescribed me lyderm gel to try in hopes for positive results. I've also decided to try toppik and noticed it works amazingly,  which is how me and my amazingly supportive fiancé have decided if all else fails.. we will go with toppik and a nice hat for the big day :) thank you sooooooo much for the help. Cheers!!!
