Hello! I have been thinking of shaving and cutting what is left of my hair, as it's practically gone now. I would like to begin wearing wigs, but I'm unsure where to start. There's many kinds, colours, etc. What would you recommend for a beginner teen girl? I want something that looks natural. I don't want others to be able to tell. Not many are accepting of that around here.. Thanks in advance!

Since you are very young and probably have many years of dealing with this, I would recommend a Freedom Wig.  They are very spendy, but you can do all the teen things and it won't come off. No one could ever tell.  They are all human hair of the utmost quality.  You will justify the price of one at your age.

I'm only starting to look into this too but it seems there are some good quality synthetic wigs out there if the Freedom wig option is too expensive. I've read a high quality synthetic wig that's well cared for can last a year. The colour won't fade, which is cool, but you can't style them with any kind of heat and you need to use a special shampoo on them and let them air dry. Here's an article that will show you some options:

I'm not sure what look you're going for but the Noriko looks pretty cute to me.

Oh thanks! I will definitely look into that. The wig you mentioned is very expensive and I don't think is sold to those in the US? It says Canada and you have to meet up.. so I'm not sure about it.

Hello,

Would you be interested in purchasing a basically brand new Follea wig? I bought one and only wore about half a dozen times. It's in excellent condition. The hair is top quality European human hair, people would never know it wasn't your own hair.  The colour is light brown with butterscotch hi lights. Cap size xs. I can send more details and pics if your interested.

Pics would be nice! If you don't mind.
Sorry, I'm just seeing your reply now. Here's some pics, for some reason I could only upload a couple. Do you have an email address? I could send you more that way if you'd like.

looks very pretty, but if that is light brown.....hmmmm...maybe my monitor is way off....Looks so very dark......

Yep, it's light brown with butterscotch hi lights. The lighting wasn't the greatest either where I took the pics. You can check out the color on the follea website too if it's easier to see.

Hi,

I think the best introduction to wearing wigs is one where the first wig is one which people don't question. The biggest mistake of my life when I look back is going to a terrible hair replacement centre and being given the worst wig of my nightmares.Eventually although I got a supplier who saved my life..i feel the seed of doubt had been created from my first 2 years of wig wearing. It still makes my blood boil to this day as I paid a fortune to feel so insecure and it should never have been like that.Itas important you start off with a good natural wig and then in your mind a lot of issues that I went through will never exist.Confidence is everything with wig wearing and when the wigs good you confidence will be sky high.Get one with scalp and ensure the knots are bleached etc These are all the things you need for it to look natural.I am really happy now with my hair but when I started my journey I never had the luxury of the internet to research the way I can now do.God bless you.
