I'm looking at one priced around $1000 and don't want to spend the money til I get some feedback from my AA buddies...

Not sure what vendor you are using to buy this, but you should look at the Jacquelyn web site to identify the type of wig. My guess is that it is from the collection called Euro hair-which means Chinese hair that has been treated to remove the cuticle and make the hair a little finer and resemble European hair more. That kind of hair is used by many of the Brooklyn companies to give a long wavy look-since there are no cuticles the hair should not tangle but it may not stay soft more than a few months.

A French top will have a lovely realistic part area. Sorry can't give any personal experience.
I order my daughter's wigs from a chinese company and they run a little oever $400 for very pretty Europen hair with silk top, swiss lace. Message me if you want the name of the vendor.
Hi Karen... It sounds like it's a "Eurohair", which means it's an Asian hair that is processed to look like European at least at the beginning. I don't mean to talk something down, but you simply can't buy real European hair wig for a little over $400. Cheap Chinese labor is not a factor here, it's the high European hair cost that is the same everywhere.
