I've read that hair texture changes is common with AA. Going from smooth to really rough and coarse. Has that gotten better for anyone - has your hair at any point gone back to it's normal texture?

Also.. have any of you noticed the roots of your hair... I know that with AA, the bulb isn't typically attached, but have you ever experienced  a few millimeters or even a centimeter past the root, and seen a change in thickness? For example, in recent hair washings, I've seen that my hair falls out, sometimes with the bulb, sometimes without but in all most all cases, there's a part near the root where it is MUCH thinner than the rest of the hair. Kind of like this terrible drawing : ___________ with the gray representing the really thin part. If you've seen it before, do you know what it could mean?

Thanks, and hope everyone is doing well.
