My doctor prescribed Latisse for my eyebrow loss due to alopecia areata. I am debating whether it is worth the cost of getting it filled as I have never heard of anyone with AA having any success with it. Has anyone actually had decent growth of eyebrows or eyelashes from Latisse?

about the inflammation...try looking into the idea that you might have a gluten sensitivity. That is a huge cause for inflammation. Supposedly dairy and sugar could also be a problem for inflammation but I haven't gone to the point of cutting them out from my diet because I got amazing results from just becoming gluten free.

I tried a chinese herb called ban tu wan but had to stop it once I began the meds. Let me know how the herbs work for you. Send me a friend request or I will send you one so we can keep in touch. My AA may have been caused by stress, diet or both, who knows. Some people say it is genetic. I am trying to eliminate gluten and dairy, but it is not easy. I have definitely reduced it. I know what you mean about people saying it is just hair, and I wonder too if they would feel the same if it was them.

Yes!  I have used latisse for eyebrows for 2 years now.  It grew back the sparse areas close to the inner corners of my eyes.  I had been plucking them away since I was a teenager and was totally regretting it.  I use Latisse on my eyebrows and eyelashes and it worked for both.  The only side effect I experienced was some slight darkening at my lash line and a bit of redness/itchiness around my eyebrows.

You don't even need a prescription for Latisse any longer. I saw it advertised on Groupon this morning - (along with about a dozen like products).
