In view of all the discussions on the arthritis drug, has anyone tried, or going to try Berberine? I did order it and have taken it now for two weeks, but it is still too early to tell anything yet. My derm said the arthritis drug is fairly new and very expensive, about $2,000 a month/$25,000.00 a year and most insurance companies will not cover it. That said, if it proves successful in the clinical trials, hopefully the cost will come down.

I've also ordered Berberine and can't wait to start taking it :) please let us know as soon as you see some effects
I have ordered it the only thing that worries me is that it's a diabetic supplement and designed to control the sugar in your blood, are there any concerns about taking this if you don't need the sugar controlled ion your blood?
Starshine, you may not have noticed any new hair growth in the short time but have you noticed the hair falling out less frequent since taking Berberine?
Hi Taz. You should probably check with your doctor first. I am also concerned because my d erm has me on Methotrexate, not that it has done much, but it is probably not a good combination. Honestly, I have diffuse AA so it is hard to tell if it is doing anything, but the shed may be down a little. It really is to soon to make a determination. Good luck if you decide to try it.
