Hi everyone, My name is Margaret and my son Adam is 9 years old. Just before Christmas we found out he had Alopecia. I since bought a product from England and I am unsure if i should use. It is called Calosol from the company Caloderm. My doctor tells me i should not use it but ... well I really don't know what else to do. If anyone knows of this product could you please contact me.

Thankfully yours,

Margaret.

Thank you so much Tanya, you are a very brave lady. I like your mother only want what is best for our children. I think that I am finding it harder to deal with more so then Adam. I am trying not to make his life about Alopecia but more accepting what is happening, I'm more afraid of him being bullied out side where inside i can protect him.... I know its wrong, I worry way to much.

Thank you for replying to me and I will take your advice on board.

kind regards,

Margaret. :)
I'm afraid your doctor is right, many people have reported about its inefficacy.
Im sure companies like this one pray on paniced parents like me.... I need to feel like i am doing something tho. My son is none the wiser to what going on. Its more me.

Thanking for replying to my discussion topic ... :)
Hi Margaret

I have AA on my head and beard. I tried Calosol Beard Recovery cream and it didn't make any difference. I definitely feel that I was scammed but desperation leads you to be taken in by these companies.

Did the doctor give you a reason why you shouldn't use it on Adam?

Best wishes to you both for a speedy recovery.
Robert
Hi Robert,

Thank you for replying. My doctor voiced his concern because the product is not licenced. Neither is the company Caloderm. There really is very little information about AA in Ireland... we are so backward here that electricity is still amazing to some folk... :)
