Good morning!
I have recently "come out" at my place of employment (law enforcement), and it has been quite nerve-racking. I literally walked in and did not give my coworkers any warnings. I have been there almost 12 years and I have always worn the same-style wig. My concern is that it is very cold in the department and I don't want to wear any type of head covering that look like cancer head coverings.
Any suggestions on any type of nice, professional (warm and cute) head coverings?
Thank you in advance!

I, personally, came out to my colleagues and bosses in advance, letting them know of my condition before I showed them my bald head, so the shock factor was less. I encouraged humour about it (because there is nothing I can do about it, nor can they). I mostly went bald, but wore caps with scarves wrapped in different ways around the caps when the weather permitted. If it was too hot (and often it was), OFF came the head gear and I went bald. I don't want to wear a wig. I have had some scalp injections and have some hair growing back in right now and am sporting a very short brushcut. I thank the skies for my supportive work environment, and I encouraged everyone to understand my condition and tell others that asked in hushed voices as to whether or not I was sick, to tell them the truth about my condition (both to educate others, and give them understanding).
I had to wear head coverings a lot this winter as it was so brutally cold here this past winter, but while in the office... thankfully I was comfortable pulling it all off and just going bald. I learned most of my scarf wrapping skills for my head on YouTube. Very helpful videos, and I found my own style and was comfortable doing it in no time without even a mirror in front of me. I wear light-weight cotton caps, of different colours, and have a huge inventory of scarves in different colours. Most of them in a long rectangular shape rather than a square shape. Pashmina's are too large for the head.

I know how scary it might be to come out, especially with new people around you. It was difficult for me as well. I remember we rented a coworking space that we found on https://osdoro.com/us/coworking-space-houston/ to start our business. There were many new people there, and I was wearing a wig daily. I always had the feeling that everyone is looking at me and judging me. After a few sessions with my psychologist, I decided to come out, and when I did it, I understood that the thought about that was scarier than doing it. Everyone was friendly to me, they didn't ask a lot of questions, and now I couldn't be happier being myself.
